At Lovebird Bridal Boutique (LBB) we are driven to provide amazing service to our brides, bridal parties and all other clients. We are determined to help our clients find that perfect, breath-taking dress that gives them “that feeling” that they are all waiting to feel. My duties at LBB is to provide a welcoming experience to all guests. I am in charge of discovering their needs by asking a list of questions, eliminating prospects, and listening to what they want and don’t want. During my shifts, I am trusted in caring for beautiful dresses that cost thousands of dollars. I am trusted to provide superior customer service that helps our clients feel comfortable and confident, as well as handling mass amounts of money. I am also trusted in picking and designing our store front displays, as well as the other displays in the store. Working here is truly amazing. Everyday is a beautiful day when you’re surrounded by beautiful gowns.

In this 6-week internship I was given the responsibilities of creating a social media campaign, e-mail campaign, a business plan and a content strategy plan. Due to COVID-19, I was working remotely which provided me with the opportunity to become independent, work on my time-management and perfect my organization skills.

As a sales specialists, I focus on finding the perfect fit for my clients. I do this by taking their measurements, asking them questions to better understand their needs and providing them with a minimum of three options. Every day I am given a goal that is determined by my SPAH (Sales Per Associate Hour). This helps me maintain my focus and determination while helping my store meet our goals. What I love most about working for this company is being given the ability and opportunity to work with amazing women. I am able to create relations with my clients and have an open conversation with them that makes my customer service more welcoming and comforting.

I was determined to give customers the full experience; I discovered what the costumer was looking for, what the purpose of that product will be used for, and what the customers story was. I can easily develop relationships with all my customers and I have received many compliments on my services.

I assisted in setting up and breaking down events within a strict time frame in a variety of Queen’s University locations. I served food and beverages to 100’s of guests. I was capable of remaining calm and upbeat during fast paced environments and I was able to lift large and heavy objects. I’m proud to say I was one of the few chosen to be trained to assist in serving for the principal of Queen’s University, Dr. Daniel Woolf. I serviced events that was held for charities and politicians, such as events for mental health awareness that Margaret Trudeau hosted. These were amazing opportunities, and I was able to listen in to these speeches and learn so much about the topic that was spoken of.
