Benefits Administrator
Responsible for developing, administering and coordinating all employee benefit programs including group insurance, retirment and benefit days.Assumes responsibility for providing effective benefit programs. Evaluates, reveiws and selects vendors for benefit programs.Evaluates current benefits services and providers and makes recommendation for continuation. Oversees the Open Enrollment periods. Notifies employee and coordinates meetings with insurance representatives.Oversees the COBRA program.Develops and maintains an in depth knowledge of benefit systems, products and requirements. Ensures that Company benefit programs are in compliance with Federal and State regulations. Ensures that managers and employees are well informed of benefits, timelines, premiums and insurance requirements.Prepares, obtains and distributes information materials including health, life, dental, long term disability and supplemental life insurance, 401(k) Plan, Health Savings Account, COBRA, Family Medical Leave, and other programs as required. Checks for accuracy and eligibility and forwards to insurance companies and Accounting as necessary. Updates insurance coverage due to changes in employee status and eligibility.Acts as a liaison between employees and insurance companies to research and resolve problems with claims, non-payments, billings, lost identification cards, etc. Administers Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Distributes forms, determines eligibility, and ensures that federal regulations are met.Notifies terminated employees within time limits and according to federal regulations.Administers Cafeteria Plan/Flexible Spending Accounts.
