• Serve as liaison between patients, family members, and all staff and faculty in a large community hospital, including two emergency department locations, and additional ambulatory care sites.• Responsible for management of patient complaints and formal grievances, coordinating with hospital leadership and staff/physicians to find reasonable and acceptable resolutions. • Manage RL6 event management system, completing investigations of reported events and analyzing data to identify areas of opportunity for change and improvement.• Build and develop reports from collected data to present to Department Quality Council and other hospital committees to communicate snapshot of existing data and trends over time.• Co-chair hospital Grievance Committee, comprised of hospital staff and leadership responsible for review of complaints and grievances, identifying trends, and communicating within the organization when necessary identified trends and potential patient care and safety issues.• Assist in mitigating risk between organization and patients/healthcare consumers, in collaboration with Risk Manager, Patient Safety Officer, and legal teams.• Oversee, analyze effectiveness, and implement process change if necessary of discharge call program, where outreach spans to more than 14,000 patients annually. • Manage translator services for hospital and ambulatory care areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.• Assist Patient Experience team in overseeing annual surveying efforts, Patient Experience programs, and implementation of improvement efforts.
