This year I was approached by the committee of my sailing club I have been a member of since I was a beginner. As the Club Coach I organise the weekly Friday night sailing session, which is designed for anyone wanting a lighthearted coaching session with a social atmosphere. I also get involved with the summer children's course and a variety of other social events.

Within my role I am a RYA Senior Instructor, I run the watersports shop; ordering and taking deliveries, administration, basic finances and accounting, maintenance, crew on board various vessels, outreach coordinating to schools, groups logistics, staffing, marketing and project managing.

As a young sailor with spare time post GCSE's I started volunteering for Dover Sea Sports where I was put to work in assisting with the instructing of sailing courses. From there I went onto completing my Dinghy Sailing Instructors course and am now a fully qualified Senior Instructor. It was a very enjoyable experience with a lot of hard work.
