Contract employee hired to assist big 4 accounting firm with the facilitation of User Acceptance Testing of software and tools developed for use in the audit practice. General tasks included facilitation of testing efforts for the Business utilizing revolving teams of testers from the practice who required constant coaching, interfacing with developers & product owners to resolve issues as needed, defect review and re-test to determine acceptance. Additionally was tasked with ownership over the automation of UAT test plans acting as the product owner working with offshore teams to prioritize and review user stories, create acceptance and documentation criteria, and ensure that value is delivered to the business.

Through the Flex Talent Network, I was able to return to PwC on a contract basis keeping my audit skills sharp, and allowing the flexibility to enjoy other ventures in life. I specialized in audits of Asset Management clients (hedge funds, RIC funds, institutional funds, etc.) and also had the opportunity to spend time with the Global Assurance Tools & Technology Team as a test lead for User Acceptance Testing over core audit software honing my agile skills and learning a passion for the software development process.

From writing business plans and pitch decks, to employee management and bookkeeping, I facilitated bringing together and managing the team that created this manufacturing (metal fabrication) business in San Diego, CA. This included unifying the team, defining roles through empowering talented and motivated individuals, keeping up on changes in the legal environment and adapting our strategy accordingly, supervising planning and management of the build-out of the US manufacturing facility, etc.
