  For as long as I can remember I had a burning desire to be a star. No longer was it about the fame, fortune, fancy clothes, big hair and recognition, but it become about inspiration, vision and destiny.Over the years I’ve had the opportunity of working with fantastic people who taught me so much about not only being a leader but about being a better person, which ultimately plays an important role when it comes to being a great leader and motivator. Being someone who leads another isn’t about placing unrealistic expectations, demanding discipline and meeting targets without u yourself adhering to these disciplines that makes one a good leader.When using “Team Leader” as a development process, it’s about not only inspiring someone to be good at the skill, but equipping them to be a productive member of society, solely bringing out the best in someone so that they affect every aspect of their lives not only within the corporate environment.Developing trust with your colleagues is so important; creating an open flow of communication creates an relationship that will transcend far beyond the journey. When you have this open communication it will be easier where coaching is related, colleagues won’t take it as a personnel attack but will be comfortable knowing that the feedback is to build up and not break the colleague down and the same goes for stats and KPI’s.Ultimately we lead so that we can pay it forward, we lead so we can give someone else the tools to be a great leader, affecting every generation within the business, being a leader is selfless every ounce of knowledge we have is purely to so that we can teach someone else.
