With over 10 years of experience in various areas of the law, I am a certified paralegal with a paralegal certification from Collin County Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and History from Texas Tech University. In 2018, I obtained an advanced certification in Trademarks from the National Association of Legal Assistants. I have a strong work ethic and drive to succeed in any legal environment, whether it is a busy law firm, corporation, or a remote setting. For the last 5+ years, I have worked as a senior paralegal in corporate governance for Pioneer Natural Resources (“Pioneer”), America’s leading independent energy company. I have supported the business by maintaining the corporate records, compiling due diligence documentation to support securities offerings and merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions, assisting with formation and dissolution of business entities, drafting Board meeting minutes and resolutions, conducting chain of title research, drafting Power of Attorney documents and Secretary’s Certificates, assisting with compliance of all NYSE listing requirements, and assisting internal groups to ensure all local, state and federal compliance requirements are met in a timely manner. Before Pioneer, I worked in intellectual property law for over seven years for Kristin Jordan Harkins, a shareholder at Conley Rose and then at Wick Phillips, before she passed away in 2018. I supported her practice through a variety of ways, mainly by assisting with the preparation and prosecution of foreign and domestic patent and trademark applications. When I work with in-house paralegals or firm attorneys, they tell me that they can always depend on me to ensure deadlines are met and/or to obtain pertinent information to make their jobs easier—that’s my favorite part of what I do.I have also been a Notary Public since 2013.
