I work with all kinds of people at all kinds of skill levels, and we work not only on increasing that skill, but also keeping a healthy mindset around practicing and failure. I also find that I am learning just as much as my students are during our lessons, and I have grown both as a musician and as a person in my time with them. I feel pretty comfortable in leadership roles, especially those that align with my own personal interests and skills, such as when I was the President of the Creative Writing club, or the cello section leader in the Snow College Symphony. I actually really enjoy repetitive, monotonous tasks that most people hate. I'm able to get into a rhythm and just go at it until I've either run out of time or finished the task. My musical background and education have molded me into a very observant and analytical person, and I thrive in situations that allow me to use those skills.
