Directly support DCSA Financial Management and Budget Execution teams through management support, budget controls support, and Financial Management Certification support. Daily responsibilities include independently managing and tracking budget controls across 17 Directorates and 50 Divisions, which estimated a total of $1.823 Billion, managing and updating budget controls with the Acquisition and Budget Management (ABM) system, running financial data discrepancy/spend plan reports within the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system, and creating Organizational Review Presentations for each division. Independently created the master tracking file for Budget Controls that is disseminated to all Directorates and Divisions following any updates and/or transfer of funds. Assisted in providing Monthly Deliverables presentations to contractor leadership.

Worked as a sub-contractor for a Deloitte team of audit specialists. Managed and tracked audit requests with quick turn around requirements - which includes preparation, coordination, review, and meeting facilitation - of Air Force Hospital’s being audited by an Independent Public Accountant (IPA). Maintained communication with Air Force Hospital Person’s of Contact (POCs) regarding IPA requested audit material and IPA personnel to disseminate and gather information regarding the audit being conducted. Prepare and provide status updates to leadership on audit status and identified risks. Beginner level understanding of SQL Builder and HUE data systems.

Independently worked with counterparts at the Department of Transportation, Department of Commerce, and United States Treasury to perform billing and collection of background investigation cases. Performed pattern, trend, and link analysis while observing a variety of data sources to include financial contracts, payments, and deobligation of funds. Compiled and verified all relevant financial information to invoice government departments for background investigations.

Led the integration of females into combat arms in Nebraska by serving as first female Cavalry Scout. Served as Lead Scout for 2nd Platoon during training rotations in Fort Chaffey, Arkansas and led approximately 15-20 mounted route, area, and zone reconnaissance missions. Independently planned Scheme of Maneuver for all reconnaissance missions as Lead Scout, which included primary and alternate infill and exfil routes, check points, target reference points (TRPs), operational positions (OPs), and alternate OPs.. Briefed the Scheme of Maneuver portion of all pre-mission Operational Orders to troop leadership. Acted as Platoon Sergeant during Civil Unrest Operations at Nebraska State Capitol and kept accountability of 12-15 soldiers and their equipment, ammunition, and food rations. Kept accountability and led 7-10 soldiers during home base operations, which included inventory, scout skills classes, and online coursework. Selected for Commandant's List at Advanced Leaders Course in Fort Hood, TX after exceeding the course standard and scoring in the Top 10% of the class.

Selected as Honor Graduate out of 20 students at Military Police Officer Reclassification Course in Fort Leonard Wood, MO by completing the course at the Top 20% of the class. Led 4-5 soldiers as Team Leader through missions and home base tasks. Led lower enlisted soldiers as lead briefer to the Command Team of up-to-date world news while deployed stateside to the United States Virgin Islands. Assisted Command Team in Tactical Operations Center as Radio Telephone Operator tracking incoming requests and resources from on-the-ground troops. Served as Military Police Officer working alongside the USVI Police Department patrolling the island, responding to a variety of situations such as domestic disturbances, hit-and-run, and weapons being fired. Awarded Nebraska National Guard Commendation Medal for meritorious service during hurricane relief efforts in USVI.

Reviewed and verified quantities received against purchase requests and shipping documents to ensure financial accountability. Created electronic and hard copy tracking systems to ensure accountability of quantity of items being issued.

Worked with a small team transferring personnel data from a variety of databases into a single, consolidated database in order to make searching and altering personnel data more convenient for soldiers. Communicated consistently with lower-level leadership at the unit level across the state to ensure soldiers had easy access to their records. Independently created and published hazardous duty and flight orders to ensure soldiers get paid for special qualifications and extra duties. Navigated multiple databases daily to recover service and medical records for prior service members to assist with Veterans Affairs loan applications. Assisted with discharging soldiers out of the Nebraska Army National Guard and ensuring proper documentation was collected to verify service. Submitted weekly work and leave hours for 15 technicians timely and accurately.
