Leading all functions of the Legal Department with a primary focus on litigation management, advertising and claims, sales, e-commerce, critical contract negotiation, crisis management and corporate governance.

Ensured compliance with legal requirements by drafting and issuing company procedures, including the Healthcare Systems and Data Protection policies; implemented online portal, e-learning modules, and helpline contacts; investigated violations; conducted enterprise-wide risk assessment; participated in global compliance leadership meetings; and reported on the effectiveness of compliance program. Served as Assistant Secretary for entities in the United States and supervised outside counsel on Corporate Governance matters on board resolutions, dividend statements, and minute books, increasing efficiency and productivity.

Delivered legal excellence to all divisions by directing, training, coaching, and mentoring a team of 23 legal and regulatory affairs employees. Managed a team focused on: commercial and consumer litigation and dispute resolution management; complex commercial agreement negotiation; product claim approval, ingredient qualification, marketing and promotional material clearance; policy implementation and compliance function management and employment, environmental, and operations issues.

Recruited to manage complex commercial and consumer disputes and litigation before courts, arbitrators, and government agencies, including dispute resolution, litigation strategy, settling pre-litigation demands, negotiating insurance claims coverage, and selecting/supervising outside counsel. Drafted, reviewed, and negotiated varied and complex commercial agreements, including service, supply, sales, IP, manufacturing, consulting, licensing, construction, real estate, transportation and warehouse agreements. Initially recruited for Litigation & Contracts as Corporate Counsel in 2009 and subsequently promoted to Senior Counsel in 2011 and Associate GC in 2013.

Managed and led large-scale commercial litigation, including counseling clients on pre-litigation solutions to business disputes, preparing litigation strategy and budgets, drafting pleadings and motions, managing electronic discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, preparing witnesses for deposition and trial, arguing admissibility of trial exhibits, examining trial witnesses, and directing trial team efforts.

Litigated copyright infringement, multi-district pharmaceutical product liability, defamation, and municipal liability cases by conducting legal research, drafting legal memoranda, taking and defending depositions, and arguing motions.
