Responsible for the implementation of curriculum to students of all levels of ability. As department chair, establishing a structure for department collaboration on the understanding and implementing of state standards. Provide instructional leadership regarding professional learning community processes and protocols. Work with the department to assist with instructional consistency and foster new and innovative instructional practices in the content area of science.

• Responsible for the teaching of Life Science and Biology to 7th and 8th grade students. This includes lesson planning, implementing of lessons, facilitating discussions, lab activities, and assessments. Maintenance of a class website to include daily reminders, activities, files, etc. • As department chair, responsible for coordinating instructional program and materials and monitoring department function to determine problems and needs and implement curriculum improvements. Serving as an instructional liaison between department employees and school administration and will all country levels. Evaluating the department’s effectiveness through assessment of student progress and evaluation of teacher performance. Assisting the principal in developing the department budget, purchasing and disseminating materials and supplies and maintaining an inventory. Also responsible for examining and introducing instructional and professional material to teachers.
