As a Professor of Criminal Justice, I have over 17 years of experience in higher education teaching in the classroom, online, and in the community. My courses, research, and publications focus on social justice and how to remove barriers for those who are involved in the criminal justice system. I also have experience serving in a variety of leadership positions in higher education including Faculty Director of the Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project; Criminal Justice Program Coordinator; Assistant Department Chair of Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Organiational Leadership; University Diversity Fellow; and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Through these experiences I have learned how to be a highly effective leader, project manager, communicator, and team builder in a variety of settings.
