• Dispense prescribed medications and prepare compounds. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, and regulations.
• Educate and consult patients on complete pharmacotherapy assessments such as; disease states, appropriate adherence, side effects, drug interactions, adverse drug reactions (ADRs), dosage and administration, injection.
• Follow established procedures concerning continuous quality improvement, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Liaison between doctors and patients to facilitate Prior Authorization approval from 3rd party payors. Oversee that all pharmacy claims are adjudicated properly.
• Advise prescribers on appropriate cost-effective therapy alternatives for non-formulary drugs. Monitor patient medication adherence, drug-allergy interactions, adverse reactions, therapeutic duplications and identify.
• Provide Immunizations and run clinics.
