The Trust Youth Initiative (TYI) pilot is a Cash Plus model that combines unconditional direct cash transfers (DCTs) with optional supportive programming and services for 24 months to support young adults ages 18 to 24 to secure safe and stable housing.The Cash Plus approach recognizes that young people often face both financial and non-financial constraints to long-term housing stability and thriving.Both the cash amounts and supportive programming will be delivered over two years.The program implementation will follow a model co-designed by national and local partners, including young people with lived expertise of homelessness, and will involve an implementation manual and training and technical assistance from Point Source Youth to support implementation quality and fidelity.The TYI program will be rigorously evaluated by a research group (Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago) to assess the program s impacts on young adults outcomes related to safe and stable housing, empowerment, financial well-being, and other aspects of well-being.

Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Program Director has full responsibility for all operations of the program. The Program Director is the clinical and administrative leader and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Progress Foundation policies and procedures and that services are provided in accordance with the agency’s contract with the City and County of San Francisco.Generally, Program Director duties include: Promoting the philosophy of social rehabilitation as it applies to residential treatment; liaison with the City’s mental health system of care; clinical and personnel supervision; supervising and monitoring client charts, medication documentation. Maintain computer requirements of the City and County of San Francisco Community Behavior Health Services, and reporting of client data; responsibility for facility upkeep; compliance with licensing and certification regulations; scheduling of staff; and providing direct service to clients as is necessary and appropriate. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, clients and other providers both orally and in writing. Basic word processing skills. Must demonstrate an acceptable level of maturity, good judgment and emotional stability. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Assistant Director supervises staff of this adult psychiatric transitional residential treatment program. Generally, the Assistant Director manages the flow of clients into and out of the program. Specific functions are outlined in the job description.Duties include: developing and maintaining good working relationships with client referral sources and other related mental health programs; reviewing all charts and client records; assisting in staff training; coordinating the staff schedule and coordinating the collection of client data. In addition, the Assistant Director advocates for and participates in the maintenance of the facility and performs all duties of the Counselor position as necessary and appropriate.Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, clients and other providers both orally and in writing. Specific functions are outlined in the job description.Duties include: performance of intake interviews; group, individual, and family counseling; treatment plan development and implementation; coordination of activities; discharge planning; and developing and maintaining contact with clients' therapists and related treatment programs. In addition, the counselor is required to maintain clinical records and to perform minor household repair and cleaning tasks. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including some weekend and overnight shifts.Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Generally, Relief Counselors advocate for and respond to clients’ treatment and rehabilitation needs. Specific functions are outlined in the job description.Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, clients and other providers both orally and in writing. Must demonstrate an acceptable level of maturity, good judgment and emotional stability, Must be able to negotiate several flights of stairs during each work shift and life and carry 20lb packages several times during each work shift. Basic word processing skills; maintain computer requirements of the City and County of San Francisco Community Behavioral Health Services.Duties include: Assist in the orientation of new clients, respond to psychiatric and/or medical emergency situations, support clients’ efforts to implement treatment plans, write progress notes on clients, relay clinical and house-status information to other staff, monitor and record client medications, assist in the case management activities, participate and involve clients in program activities, be responsible for the physical plant including investigating problems in the facility and performing minor cleaning and repair work, and other household tasks.
