I am an industrial designer with 3 years of professional experience and an additional 3 years of experience working with industry professionals on sponsored studio projects throughout my college education. I have worked with a variety of manufacturing techniques, industries, and materials, with my most recent experience in designing plastic injection molded closure systems. I have worked with companies of various sizes, and I have often worked on and thrived within small, multi-disciplinary teams.Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in CAD modeling (primarily SolidWorks) and Keyshot rendering, making them two of my strongest skills. The most rewarding parts of my work are understanding and advocating for end users and solving problems in creative ways. My interest in human behavior and thought processes has been a driving force in my career, and I strive to focus on and address the needs of users as individuals.I love the wide range of personalities and strengths that come together in product design and the way that design fosters all kinds of problem-solving and creativity. I would likely be an engineer now if I hadn't discovered industrial design (I come from a family full of engineers and always thought I'd add to the ranks). I don't regret finding this career or the decision I made to pursue it (despite people frequently misunderstanding what I do for work), as it has brought me a joy and balance in the various aspects of my personality that no other profession I know of could have provided.
