Under my leadership our council has grown from a small non-profit start-up to a thriving organization. My role includes strategic planning, board development, infrastructure evolution, capacity building, human resources, personnel management, marketing, fundraising, financial management, program evaluation, event planning, staff and volunteer training and community relations - all while maintaining a focus on high quality programming reflecting our mission, vision and values.

In my role as consultant I helped assess the needs of the organization and supported the council in successfully meeting and exceeding strategic goals. My primary focus was grant writing. I also supported financial management, social media and programming.

I recruited, trained, supervised and supported a team of advocates who provided immediate support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse at the scene of the incident. I served as a liaison between the organization and all area hospitals and law enforcement agencies. I also served on the Diversity and Inclusion Team helping to improving access to services and resources for all survivors regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, culture, language, education, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic or immigration status.

I facilitated, modeled and promoted academic and personal growth for elementary through college aged students through use of powerful experiential learning techniques.

I served as a change agent in Oakland, California elementary schools using my skills in relationship building, community organizing, data analysis, program design and personal growth to help improve the educational outcomes of students of color.
