It is my desire to work collaboratively with stakeholders to help improve educational opportunities for K-12 students in Memphis. It is my belief that every student in Memphis, no matter the background, should have access to high quality education that will prepare them for their future. I have over 10 years of experience teaching and leading teachers. I attended and completed Emerging Leaders/New Leaders Memphis Institute. I have worked closely with countless educational partners and programs to provide teachers with meaningful opportunities that translate to a higher level of educational systems.My educational career has always been centered around providing a quality education to underprivileged communities. My goal of instructional excellence led to me earning the highest TEM/TEAM score in one of South Memphis’s lowest performing schools in 2013. My personal success in the classroom gave me the desire to help foster positive change in the classrooms of my fellow educators. My drive to assist others as a mentor, teacher, learning coach, master teacher, and cooperating teacher for The University of Memphis, segued into my current position as Instructional Facilitator. Initiating a data driven culture, planning professional development, assisting directors, planning meetings, events, as well as observing and providing actionable feedback to teachers all to positively impact student achievement and set the stage for Memphis schools to compare globally.
