I enjoy: music and live concerts, stand up comedy, reading, socialising, city breaks, cooking, beach, and time with family and friends.I have over 10 years of experience working with children in nursery's, school's, family home's, and within the community over Dorset.I studied at university for three years, completing a Psychology (Counselling) degree. I gained more experience in the childcare field working and managing my own caseload in the rural areas of North Dorset in schools as a health advisor. Completing developmental checks and working 1:1 with children with emotional or behavioural needs.I went on to post graduate study in adult mental health as part of the IAPT service, and continued to work for Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.I enjoyed my role as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The demand in mental health services has opened my eyes into how much help and support is needed and I am proud to be helping the patients that need it. I believe challenging ourselves each day makes us a better and stronger person.My current role working at Bournemouth university is helping students who are experiencing mental health difficulties and the role helps me have a great work life balance by working part time and looking after my children. My skills include: time management, working well independently and as a team player. Actively listening and communicating with students, staff and Colleagues and Problem solving for myself and others.
