My most recent work experience is with Jones Lang LaSalle working as a Critical Systems Operating Engineer. I operate and maintain an engineering plant including a 3750/480/277V electrical distribution system for mechanical loads, a 1500/208/108V electrical distribution system for electrical loads, three 2 MW 3516 CAT generators, one 32 CAT generator, one Detroit Diesel generator, three UPS systems, a data center and industrial AHUs. I have previous work experience as a 3rd Assistant Engineer on a 310 class OSV with Hornbeck Offshore. My duties included fueling, loading/discharging liquid mud and dry bulk, maintaining four CAT 3516 generators, and general plant maintenance using NS software. My first full time job was on the American Queen steamboat. I worked in the engine room as well as the boiler/generator room. I performed boiler testing and blow downs daily. I did hourly maintenance on our 3516 CAT generators. I was in charge of fueling operations, maintenance and safe operation of three 1440 KW 3516 Caterpillar ship service diesel generators, an Orca sewage plant, and a potable water system. Before American Queen Steamboat Company, I joined M.E.B.A. where I performed daywork and watch standing on APL, Matson, and Horizon vessels. Prior to M.E.B.A., I graduated from California Maritime Academy after three years of courses. I was a divisional commander on my senior training ship cruise to train the freshmen in best engineering practices. Before Cal Maritime, I went to community college for mechanical engineering.
