VMC Group is the largest IBC seismic and wind certifying agency for the HVAC, power generation and fire protection industries.I have over 20 years of hands on and well-rounded experience in the construction industry general construction manager, general contractor, mechanical contractor, estimating as well as experience on the manufacturer side in vibration and shock control. I have utilized my talents in the pharmaceutical, laboratory, and healthcare industries. Since joining the VMC Group in 2004, I held positions of increasing responsibility and scope including Estimator, Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager, Sr. National Sales Manager and am currently the VP, Business Development. I work across multiple departments to enhance business growth by seeking new growth areas, cross-selling across company market spaces, generating ideas for new products and responding to changing customer needs. I’m passionate about serving VMC in this capacity to help reach their full potential and create meaningful connections with their our customers.I am a sought after lecturer throughout North America on seismic and wind design and applications of the International Building Code (IBC) as it relates to non-structural building components. I am an active member/ contributing member/ member who attends meetings member of American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC). I am frequently invited to speak as a subject matter expert on International Building Code compliance for non-structural components to national meetings and local chapters of a variety of trade organizations including ASHRAE, as well as to the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), the National Organization of Women in Construction, and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE).
