I am currently teaching an adult continuing education writing course in the Carmel Central School District. The class runs in the spring and fall for 6 weeks. I have designed and implemented lesson plans centered around creative writing exercises for adults wishing to enhance their writing skills.

I recently completed a leave replacement position for a self-contained classroom in Mount Kisco Elementary School within the Bedford Central School District. During my time in Mount Kisco, I collaborated with staff to provide an enriching environment for students with Autism as well as maintaining their IEP goals. I have designed and implemented ABA programs and have become familiar with the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS). I have participated in the NYS Alternate Assessment training and completed the assessment on students.

While employed at The Westchester School for Special Children, I worked within a self-contained classroom for students with disabilities. My responsibilities included designing and implementing lesson plans that appropriately met the individual needs and IEP goals of each student. I have used techniques similar to Applied Behavior Analysis to increase overall student performance and maintain appropriate student behavior. I collaborated with assistants and support staff to maintain a cohesive classroom.
