Benefits Analyst
• Administered the Banks benefit programs and counseled active and former employees and retirees on Bank benefit plan options and policies. Applies advanced knowledge of the Bank's benefits programs, policies and regulations to address complex employee claim or leave issues. Served as the primary point of contact for employees in addressing employee issues and questions related to benefits plans and policies including medical, dental, vision, retiree benefits, life and flexible spending plans. • Conducted cost-benefit analysis on benefits plan options and offerings, examines the impact of plan design changes and presents recommendations to management. Interprets benefit plan information and assesses impact on employee leave cases and claims and advises management and employees on recommended course of action.• Ensured compliance with the appropriate laws and Bank policies. Collaborates with the Office of Employee Benefits to prepare and communicate information to employees regarding benefit programs, wellness initiatives, and health care reform updates.• Acted as the central point of contact between the Fourth District and the OEB. Assure timeliness and accuracy of required government, tax and insurance filings. Processes benefit-related and payroll information into the HRIS system and Leave Case Management system. Conducts benefits presentations to employee groups regarding the Bank's various benefits program offerings. • Served as a resource to other Human Resources staff in interpreting the Bank's benefits plans and addressing employee questions. Provided assistance to Compensation function with various administrative and analytical duties. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Adheres to the Bank's attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance. • Ensured that all activities comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organizational policies and needs. Requires following somewhat defined procedures.
