Sitting within the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement, my role as Alumni Engagement Manager is to establish and maintain programmes and events that meet the needs of DMU’s 200,000+ alumni who reside throughout the UK and across the world, developing a range of initiatives that foster meaningful engagement between our university and our global alumni community. • Developing and delivering a programme of alumni events across the world including planning, execution and follow up.• Providing opportunities for alumni to connect with each other, stay informed about the organisation and give back. • Creating and managing initiatives for alumni to support their professional development and career aspirations.• Creating and implementing a UK and International alumni engagement strategy to support home and overseas alumni.• Engaging and managing a worldwide network of alumni to support DMU’s strategy – The Empowering University.• Establishing and nurturing highly effective relationships with Faculties, Directorates and external global stakeholders.
