I graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2019, and I am a 5th year PhD student in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at Johns Hopkins University. As a member of the Gerecht Lab and a visiting researcher at Duke University, I am working on developing and validating tissue engineered arteries as cardiovascular disease modeling platforms. Through my thesis work, I have extensive expertise in tissue culture, imaging, biomolecular analysis, and general data analysis. I am also passionate about good mentorship, and have mentored 3 highly successful undergraduate students for the past 3 years, and am a leader in a STEM outreach mentorship program for middle school students in the community. Once I complete my doctoral studies in May of 2025, I plan to take the knowledge, research skills, and leadership skills I've gained to work in the biotech industry, specifically in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
