I started off in the fast food industry and quickly moved up to assistant manager and was then recruited by a team member at State Farm. They were looking for a fresh bubbly personality to be there first point of reference for their office. I was thrilled to join their team and just didn't know how to dear to my heart the insurance would become. A year or two after joining the team I lost my father and brother in two separate freak accidents and was left with two funerals and a three month old baby in the middle of purchasing our first home. Needless to say I became a thriving insurance advocate on the topic of why life insurance is needed even if you think you don't or in my case hadn't even been educated on it.I took some time and explored Beauty College at Denham Springs Beauty College and loved the chemical part of it but wasn't crazy about the social/gossipy aspect of it so after graduation I just kinda moved on. I then entered the phase of caring for my dear family members that had cancer and assisted each through their care to joining their peaceful slumber until I can only pray we meet again. My Aunt, Father in law, and mother, as well.Needless to say this took it's toll on my mental health and I made a few wrong turns before Jehovah interceding and putting me back on track. I am so grateful bc it's hard enough with a lapse in employment to explain no matter how noble one may have felt the cause.The folks at Dollar Tree were looking for a part time seasonal associate and I stayed long after the season ended. I fought my way to Assistant Manager of operations. I thoroughly enjoy helping the customers, as well as, being an asset to the management team. I assisted in the reset of our store being one of the first for the "Five-Ten and Below" section from everything down to onboarding new team members to the overnight shifts.So to summarize, I have about 8 years of insurance sales and marketing under my belt, as well as, 5 years of retail management experience. I am knowledgeable in everything from simple clerical work, cold calls on marketing, to upsales. I am eager to learn and continue to grow in all aspects of my life.
