I have committed my career to building up successful businesses by focusing on their true core: their people and developing top leadership teams.During my 25 years in the recruitment industry across South Africa and Canada, I have helped build the foundation for the success of my company, The Headhunters Recruitment.As Co-Founder and President, I built the company from scratch in 2009. Today, The Headhunters services employers across Western Canada. In addition to my leadership skills, I am also a Career Development Coach, having trained and developed staff for over 20 years. I frequently speak at events, inspiring and educating audiences across Western Canada. I regularly consult with clients regarding hiring trends and provide advice on attracting and retaining top talent. I am passionate about building human capital and business communities and I am committed to giving back through my volunteer initiatives. For several years I was an active committee member of the Canadian Women’s Foundation and currently I lead North American teams to Nicaragua and Guatemala through my families non for profit, Saving the Hungry, where we partner with local organizations that build homes in the garbage dumps for the countries most impoverished people. With over 10,000 families affected by the lack of power, fresh drinking water, sanitation and medical opportunities, our teams look to build shelter for the families that lack these necessities. In 2014 I was nominated for one of the Top 100 Women in Business in Alberta, was a finalist for E & Y 2014 entrepreneur of the year and in 2013 was nominated for the RBC Women of Influence award. Family is important to me and I spend a great deal of time balancing the load of running a company, volunteering locally and overseas and raising five kids.
