As a registered nurse in the emergency department, I provide quality care and support to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions. Additionally, I hold a registered respiratory therapist credential, allowing me to assist patients with respiratory issues. Recently, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Western Governors University, where I received an award of excellence for my capstone project. With over five years of combined experience as a respiratory therapist and registered nurse, I have developed a robust skill set in basic life support, acute care, patient advocacy, communication, and teamwork. I am driven by the desire to advocate for patients and provide them with evidence-based care, ultimately making a positive impact in their lives.I am thrilled to share that I have joined Purdue University Global Family Nurse Practitioner program. This program will be both challenging and rewarding, providing me with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel as a family nurse practitioner. I am taking it one step at a time and soon will be participating in clinicals. I am searching for a diverse preceptorship experience that will enable me to complete 640 hours of clinical practice. I would like to find multiple preceptors (160 hours per clinical) who can provide me with opportunities to enhance my learning and prepare me for my future role as a healthcare provider.
