Led a portfolio of internal consulting services including process improvement, training, data and analytics, human-centered design, and strategic alignment, while supervising a team of four analysts. Established and managed SB Academy, a training program for City employees which empowers employees to better use data, technology, and strategic thinking in their daily roles. Directed the city’s performance management program, SB Stat, which allowed departments to better understand key challenges through qualitative and quantitative data, and to implement and evaluate strategic solutions. Worked with City departments, including leadership and process owners, to generate data-driven, evidence-based, and innovative recommendations and create strategies to implement and evaluate outcomes of organizational change. Worked to strengthen a key Mayoral initiative through project management, strategic planning, stakeholder management, and ongoing evaluation and performance improvement.

Analyzed department data and processes to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery, and worked with diverse stakeholders to identify and implement innovative solutions to challenges. Executed on opportunities to maximize the use of data and technology in local government.

I was a graduate student in the department of Sociology and at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame. I was funded by the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP). My master's thesis research focused on how grassroots leaders work to reduce community violence by bridging the gaps between city leaders, authority figures, and elites, on the one hand, and those most at-risk for engaging in or being impacted by violence, on the other. I conducted interviews with 14 grassroots leaders for this research. My findings center on the different types of bridging actors that exist among these grassroots leaders, and how their contributions and challenges differ accordingly. In addition to my own research and coursework, I worked as a research and teaching assistant throughout graduate school.

Polaris Project runs the national human trafficking hotline, where I answered calls (including technical assistance, survivor support and referrals, and crisis calls). I ensured that follow up activities were completed, conducted research, generated statistical information for internal and external audiences, created training and outreach tools, updated and maintained NHTRC databases, and performed administrative tasks related to the operation of the hotline.

I ensured the daily smooth functioning of a startup nonprofit's office by leading and organizing team meetings, managing accounting, processing offline donations, and maintaining all aspects of human resources. During my time here, I took on increasing responsibility for programmatic and fundraising support across the organization.
