-Secured $40M in funding in 2022.-Managed a comprehensive grant research, development, coordination, & evaluation process that resulted in new federal, state, and private funding benefitting the city.-Developed procedures for the grant administration and reporting process. -Provided assistance and guidance in resolving issues and conflicts with grant funding agencies during all phases of the grant process. -Responsible for the development of grant applications and submissions for all City of Waterbury departments and affiliated non-profits.-These include Waterbury Development Corporation and Naugatuck Valley Regional Development Corporation (providing the opportunity to develop grant applications for the Borough of Naugatuck). -Grant applications are rooted in economic and community development: Brownfield Remediation, Water Infrastructure, Transit Oriented Redevelopment, Greenway Trail, Adaptive Re-Use, Planning, Community Pool Construction, Historic Preservation, Small Business Development, and more.-Oversaw grants office staff.-Prepared financial, statistical, and administrative reports as needed. -Provided technical assistance in grant applications.-Reviewed proposals and assistance agreements for conformity with statutory, regulatory, and city requirements.-Prepared statistical information and data needed to meet guidelines and requirements of funding agencies.-Assisted local businesses and industries, advising on potential funding opportunities or development resources available to them.
