Interviewing and writing several freelance packages for the Lansing City Pulse, a Lansing-based weekly, including a series of articles from October 2020 through January 2021 and a cover story in January 2024.

Promoting Spartan Ski Club, the largest social organization in the Big 10 with over 2,000 members in the 2021/2022 year, through online and social media content, website creation and collaboration with brands.Creating content on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok for an online audience of over 10,000 across all platforms.Shooting/editing digital photo and video content from around 20 events annually. Cultivating relationships and organizing brand deals with outdoor gear companies like Adidas, Spyder, York and Pit Viper, as well as sports energy brands like Mountain Dew and Redbull. Organizing charitable outreach programs, including assisting with adaptive skiing program Challenge Mountain, and working with East Lansing and Lansing-area non-profits to contribute either financially or through coordinated volunteer efforts.

Overseeing the operations of Michigan State's student-run call center, including student caller performance metrics and alumni-student relations. Operating Campus Call software to assign 75 student callers nightly to over 50 necessary donor lists and ensure that alumni are contacted through the proper channels. Communicating with professional staff and other University Advancement departments daily to keep MSU Greenline running smoothly. Verifying and collecting alumni gifts ranging from several hundred to $5,000 sums. Using statistics-based analytics to determine staff successes and communicate constantly with 75 callers to improve performance and help them become more comfortable.

Supervising a team of between 7-15 student callers and secured an average of $1,500 in alumni gifts per day using a secure credit card and online pledge system. Inputting caller data into monitoring software and assisting student callers to improve their performance, enhance conversations with MSU alumni and increase gifts to University scholarship programs. Improving the work environment through friendly competition, games, prizes and themed shifts. Assisting the transition to a remote work environment in September 2020.

Using rapport-building and communication skills to speak with around 50 MSU alumni from over 200 programs per night. Securing support for student scholarships, University beautification and safety initiatives at an average of $250 nightly. Stepping up to a lead caller position in fall of 2019, and taking over leadership duties in preparation for the promotion to supervisor.

Sourcing, researching, interviewing and writing weekly educational, environmental and political stories for over 30 statewide news organizations via wire service. Creating between one and two long-form enterprise pieces per week, resulting in bylines in over a dozen newspapers across the state, including the Detroit News, the Grand Rapids Business Journal, Michigan Information and Research Service (MIRS), the Manistee News Advocate and the Traverse City Record-Eagle.

Assisting with the November 2020 presidential primary, August 2021 local primary and November 2021 general elections.Collecting election results from between seven and 10 individual counties and entering them into a web-based tool, feeding the numbers to The Detroit News webpage. Timely communicating with editors to collect and disseminate results.

Conducting a semester-long research project for the 40th anniversary of Michigan State University’s statewide news service, Capital News Service. Researching changes to the program's readership, subscriber base, student participation rates and response to technological advances since its inception. Creating a series of feature articles focused on program alumni and conducting interviews with alumni spanning 40 years for publication on the School of Journalism's webpage. Updating the program website and biographical information. Writing a conference paper about the professional experience college course for publication in the October 2022 Journal of Media Education.
