About Danielle Jamison

As a dedicated Research Assistant with over six years of experience, I am driven by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a desire to make a positive impact. With a strong foundation in diverse academic fields and research, I am seeking opportunities where I can apply my skills and passion to translate scientific discoveries into tangible solutions that help others.Throughout my academic career, I have conducted both basic and translational research. My foundational experience in basic science research was gained at Trinity University under Dr. Corina Maeder, where I learned critical laboratory techniques such as PCR, protein purification, and gel electrophoresis. This experience developed my experimental design and data analysis skills. During this time, I also began presenting and writing about my research, which quickly became one of my favorite aspects of science. My passion for science communication was recognized with awards such as Outstanding Presenter at an international conference and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology's Undergraduate Research Award. My translational research experience, gained in Dr. Giulio Taglialatela's laboratory, further developed my skill set. I gained proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques, including Western blotting, flow cytometry, and mass spectrometry, while working with anonymized postmortem human brain specimens in compliance with NIH regulations. My MS Capstone project refined my experimental design and data analysis skills, culminating in a co-first author manuscript. Through 15 oral and poster presentations at various national and international conferences, including the Tau 2024 Global Conference—where I was selected as the Poster Competition Winner—I continued to strengthen my communication skills. In addition to my laboratory expertise, I am proficient in statistical analysis using GraphPad Prism, advanced data analysis with Excel and SPSS, project management under tight deadlines, and conducting comprehensive literature reviews to support my projects.I am actively seeking opportunities in research analysis, research consulting, or other roles where I can leverage my skills in data analysis, experimental design, and scientific communication to contribute to innovative projects. If you are looking for a dedicated, adaptable researcher ready to make a meaningful impact, I would love to connect!
