Danielle Lafhaj is a member of the firm’s Healthcare Sector, based in Washington, DC. After close to 20 years in the healthcare market, including hands-on experience in nonprofit, for-profit and clinical sectors, Danielle is a trusted client advisor, offering market-leading insights on opportunities for organizational growth and development. Danielle joined Russell Reynolds Associates from UnitedHealth Group, where she was a Consultant with Optum Advisory Services. In this role, she developed clinically integrated networks with major healthcare systems, physician organizations and non-acute providers, as well as advised healthcare clients undergoing organizational transitions. Previously, Danielle was with The Advisory Board Company for five years, where she spent the majority of her tenure as a Director of Talent Development partnering with health systems and hospitals across the country on leadership and succession initiatives creating customized physician and nursing leadership development programs.Danielle served as the National President of the American Medical Student Association from 2011-2012, the oldest and largest independent association of physicians-in-training in the United States. She began her health care career in Arizona as a Scribe in the Emergency Department at Chandler Regional Medical Center. Danielle holds a BS in biology and society from Arizona State University and an MD from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is the recipient of the A. Gene Copello Fellowship and the Jeanne Spurlock Research Fellowship and has been published on performance indicators in the medical field.
