My journey with TD began in 2014, and since joining the Bank, I have held a variety of senior roles including CCO of Corporate Office Compliance and most recently, Vice President Compliance, Canadian Banking & Consumer Legislation. In my current role as Vice President, Canadian Banking & Consumer Legislation Compliance, I am responsible for setting the strategic direction of the compliance program and managing the regulatory relationships with FCAC and CDIC. My role also involves leading a team of compliance professionals responsible for day-to-day business compliance support around governance, policies, oversight, independent/objective guidance, monitoring and testing. In my prior role at TD, I was responsible for the strategic direction, development, and implementation of a first in class Corporate Office Compliance Program. Having spent 35 years in banking, covering all segments of large financial institutions and pioneering the build of multiple governance programs, I know what is required to build sustainable enterprise programs that balance the interests of multiple and competing stakeholders from shareholders to customers. Having spent over 20 years in compliance, I have developed significant expertise in this field and is viewed as a subject matter expert in consumer protection compliance by the industry. My recent speaking engagements include the Canadian Institute's Regulatory Compliance Conference and Osgoode Regulatory Compliance Certificate program.When not at work, I am an avid traveler and enjoy spending time with my family exploring new places, eating our way through different countries and hiking off the calories.A graduate of the University of Waterloo, I also hold the CPA, Chartered Accountant designation.
