At CAAP, I perform grant application and compliance administration, as well as provide grant expertise and general grant research for this statewide membership association. I am now engaged in developing alternative streams of revenue, including shared services and social enterprise.I come to CAAP after working in the field of community development for 25 years. Upon graduating from Penn State with a B.S. in Community Development, I worked successively for Dauphin County Redevelopment/Housing Authorities, the City of Harrisburg, the City of Danbury (CT), and for the last 16 years the City of Harrisburg again. My early work with Dauphin County and the City focused upon housing development and rehabilitation using federal funding. My experience in Danbury and my later experience with the City of Harrisburg dealt with land use planning, zoning and land development. My time at the City included good doses of building codes enforcement, housing development and rehab, and economic development as I went through the positions of Senior Planner, Planning Director, and for the last 2 ½ years, Director of the Department of Building and Housing Development.
