I am a recent graduate of the Museum Studies program at Indiana University Indianapolis. There, I took a variety of classes to become a well-rounded museum professional, but spent a lot of time working in Collections. I was a Collections Intern with the Masonic Library and Museum of Indiana where I gained much experience in both collections and the ins and outs of managing a small museum. I was also a Community Engagement Associate, essentially a graduate assistant, to my professor Dr. Holly Cusack-McVeigh where I TA'd for her classes in Indigenous Cultural Heritage and Collections Care and Management. As a CEA I also interned at the Indiana Medical History Museum where I assisted in the research and evaluation of some of their chemical collection and also assisted in other areas such as tours. I currently work part-time at the Indiana Medical History Museum as a Curatorial Assistant where my duties are varied and include collections work, visitor experience such as giving tours, and any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
