I teach legal writing, research, and advocacy skills at Syracuse University College of Law, and I use those same skills in practice to help people with criminal convictions improve their status. While teaching full-time, I continue to manage a small solo practice concentrated on criminal appeals and post-conviction advocacy. I was selected to the New York Rising Stars list for appellate practice in 2022, 2023, and 2024 by Super Lawyers.Before starting my practice in 2017, I worked for a small firm as a criminal defense attorney where I also gained experience working on wrongful conviction and civil rights matters. I graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 2015 and was the recipient of various honors and awards.Since I can’t sit still, on top of teaching and lawyering, I'm an active member of the Monroe County Bar Association and currently serve on its Board of Trustees and various committees. I'm also a member of several other bar associations and organizations but less active in them. There are only so many hours in a day, after all. I live in a suburb of Rochester, NY, with my family—my husband and two boys, who also can’t sit still. Our life together is busy and exhausting and fulfilling and beautiful. Let’s connect.
