Led structure rationalization initiative aimed at simplifying the legal entity structure by reducing the number of legal entities used by more than half (~700 to ~300) and reducing cost by ~$100m annually upon project completion. At onset of project, responsible for identifying all 20+ impacted functions, obtaining leadership buy-in and assembling a global cross-functional team of 60+ individuals to execute plan created. Created & implemented robust tools, project plans, processes and metrics that are leveraged across the entire project team. These tools allow for easy monitoring of budget, process and roadblocks. Drove senior leadership report out cadence on project status enabling the executive team to understand progress and impact on other business priorities underway. Partnered with Financial Systems/ERP team to ensure LE rationalization plans were in alignment with ERP reduction/simplification initiatives.

Serve as single point of contact between business Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) teams and Global Operations NAM, including maintaining overall ERP project pipeline. Facilitate engagement of Global Operations (GO) functional teams in 50+ projects. Developed project engagement plan and GO readiness checklist for all functional teams which provides framework for project engagement and execution. Global Operations representative in project tollgate reviews, ensuring compliance with all Global Operations procedures and mandates.

Supported the GE Power ERP project team & led teams to work towards a single ERP design within Power & Water. Identified, analyzed and prioritized project risks and impacts while providing alternatives to remove roadblocks to implementation and Enterprise Standard compliance.

Responsible for the design, build and testing of the General Ledger module for Oracle 11i and R12 ERPs, including all associated integrations to/from sub-ledgers and 3rd party systems and technical accounting setups. Led a Six Sigma project aimed at enhancing the document storage requirement for all ESGAP design documents, resulting in the deployment of the Documentum tool (Green Belt Certified). Designed and implemented a rate storage repository that streamlined the process for populating ERPs with all rates needed for reporting and statutory requirements, resulting in decreased startup time and cost for initial rate population in new countries and consistency in rates used across all ERPs.

Managed audit efforts of a 13,000 hour IFRS engagement, including supervising and coordinating the audit efforts of 3 seniors and 4 staff locally and 2 teams in other US cities. Performed general review procedures on all audit work completed by senior and staff auditors, including leaving review notes in order to ensure all work was performed in accordance with audit and accounting guidance and to further develop the preparer of the work. Researched complex accounting issues and guidance including FASBs, SEC Interpretations, and EITF pronouncements and drafted consultation memos which were included in the engagements workpapers to support the firm’s opinion on these matters. Served as the main point of contact between the firm and executive management at audit clients. Performed assessments of the clients internal control environment in order to identify areas of improvement.
