Daniel Marklund is a Swedish web entrepreneur, Startup Advisor and Angel Investor. He origins from Piteå in nothern Sweden currently based in Stockholm.At the age of 9 he started his first business as a door-to-door salesman of holiday postcards. At a purchase price of 0.5 SEK and a selling price of 3 SEK he made an astonishing profit margin of 120 %. But the business idea had scalability problems and the total income generated was not as impressive. For his age he was still very happy since the profit allowed him to buy some nice Swedish treats such as Banana skids, Hubba-bubba and Piggelin.While the other kids were dreaming of future professions as pilots, firefighters and policemen Daniel was striving to become a millionaire. And so, at age 18 working as a cashier at the local supermarket he made his highest monthly salary yet. One day he entered the bank to cash out his payment and left the bank with a receipt of 1'391'036 SEK wired to his bank account. He was living his dream for one minute until the banker called him back in admitting there was a "small" double digit error on the transaction.Daniels first company was founded at the of age 21 together with student friends at Linköping University where he studied Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management. Based on his web experience since age 11 the company started building web services. At the age of 22 he later co-founded the web agency Media People using students to develop web and mobile applications at reasonable rates. Later he co-founded Jumpstarter in 2012. The startup was well funded with a promising new server technology - used by tens of thousands of developers. Yet, due to fierce competition Jumpstarter had to close down in dec 2015.Daniel has previously been performing street magic and has some nice tricks up his sleeve. He will beat you in bowling with his left arm tied to his back and he will help you solve the Rubik's cube.
