I started VMC Consulting because I had seen too many examples of consultants focusing on theory, not practice. My company helps charities get stuff done.Having been a charity CEO, Director of one of the largest charities in the UK, and Chair of The Living Room, I understand the challenges the sector is facing. Working in genuinely collaborative way, we help charities solve their problems, and move forwards.During my career I’ve led teams of 100+, with a proven track record of creating financially sustainable, high performing organisations. I’ve overseen growth of 27% and 72% respectively in the above charity roles, overseen service wide income of more than £320m, and negotiated high profile agreements amounting to more than £230m. I’m experienced across all fundraising disciplines including securing income globally, consistently securing eight figure investment. As CEO I reduced our unit cost by 22%, increased our opening hours by 96%, increased the number of people we were helping by 40%. 95% of our clients found a way forward following our advice; significantly higher than the national average of 79%, with 77% of our clients having their problem completely solved. 91% of staff and volunteers would recommend us as a place to work.
