Overdose Prevention Project Coordinator
CurrentThe Overdose Outreach Project is funded by the federal government to tackle the opioid crisis in Fayette County. As part of the Community Paramedicine program, I work with community members to find and refer them to appropriate resources and agencies. I build relationships with service providers, keep accurate records of our activities through data collection, and answer questions about this data.Essential job functions included: To achieve the objectives of the program grant, it is vital to plan and implement effective policies and city-wide campaigns. Providing recovery support includes making treatment referrals and assisting individuals in accessing necessary community services. Building partnerships with local treatment and recovery services enhances the support offered to the community.Organizing training sessions and community recovery events fosters a supportive environment while responding to requests for data and reports ensures transparency. Additionally, the role may involve performing related duties as assigned to contribute to the initiative's success.
