Summary: Daniel is a serial entrepreneur and passionate changemaker. He sold his first two venture-backed companies and joined Airbnb full-time where he led growth in top tier markets. Daniel left Airbnb in 2019 to start Key which is the market leader in attainable homeownership with 8-figures of venture funding from top-tier institutions. He spoke on fostering social entrepreneurship in front of 20,000 youth at We Day and top global events such as the G20 YEA in China. He's been invited to 1:1 meetings with world leaders such as Justin Trudeau, Prince William and Kofi Annan to meet on the importance of fostering youth innovation. He sits on multiple boards non-profit to support this mission. Early career: After graduating from high school Daniel backpacked throughout Australia and Fiji for six months immersing himself in their culture. He has traveled around the world to play competitive sports including basketball in New York and Beijing as well as rugby in England and Wales. Daniel was the captain of the Capilano University Men’s Basketball team. He turned down a professional basketball contract in Europe to follow his passion by joining The Next Big Thing Fellowship (Thiel Fellowship of Canada, now called League of Innovators).Daniel was an early pioneer of the sharing economy and in 2010 he directed a film series on this movement where he interviewed early-stage promising startups such as Airbnb. In his last semester of college, he received a monthly grant from the Austrian government to conduct research on the European sharing economy where he travelled to over 30 countries. Daniel has been named Top 30 Under 30, a Canadian G20 Delegate and was named the top student entrepreneur in Canada and top three student entrepreneur globally by Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
