Hi there! I'm a writer and concept developer with over 30 years of experience developing museum exhibits, theme park attractions, specialty films, videos, and interactive experiences. For over a decade I was a writer at Walt Disney Imagineering, where my work guided projects in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. I was the creative lead on the Disney team that helped to create Port Discovery, an innovative children’s museum in Baltimore that used active, story-based experiences to help kids learn, grow, and have fun. I've developed exhibits and experiences for The Smithsonian, The Simon Wiesenthal Center, and other world-class institutions. Most recently, I was a creative director at The Hettema Group working on projects in Korea, Saudi Arabia, Trinidad and Tobago, and around the U.S. I've written 7 published books, including my first graphic novel, Burying Cheng, a very personal work that explores what happened to my father during the Korean War.I serve on the board of directors of the San Gabriel Valley Literacy Council and spend two days a week teaching English as a new language at the Villa Parke Community Center in Pasadena.Many moons ago, I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California School of Journalism. My home base is in Pasadena, California.
