I have become the main liaison for the use of augmented reality within my team, and have joint-lead a project on the effectiveness of a virtual reality software within a rehabilitation environment. I have also presented a stand at a fete, where I demonstrated the technology available at Circle. Many members of the public came to try what we have on offer, to see how Circle is on the cutting edge of rehab.Outside of technology, I have ensured that I have stayed up-to-date with current medical practices, and learnt skills ranging from Speech and Language Therapy to Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. As Team Leader, I am responsible for the day to day running of the High Ropes, Climb, and Zip team. This includes ensuring breaks are rota'd and taken in a timely manner, groups aren't missed when the day gets more hectic, and any complications that arise are solved before they can become a problem for the guests or for the team. Some of these complications are complaints from guests due to a closed activity or someone not being able to take part, and if this happens I have to deescalate… Show more As Team Leader, I am responsible for the day to day running of the High Ropes, Climb, and Zip team. This includes ensuring breaks are rota'd and taken in a timely manner, groups aren't missed when the day gets more hectic, and any complications that arise are solved before they can become a problem for the guests or for the team. Some of these complications are complaints from guests due to a closed activity or someone not being able to take part, and if this happens I have to deescalate the situation and come up with a solution that suits them. Alongside this, I may have to discipline team members for poor conduct or resolve any conflicts that have occurred.Another one of my roles is stepping in when the Supervisor is not present. In these situations I have to sort future rotas, make sure they are within budget, and fill in any overspend for things such as group bookings or staff training. Alongside this, I have attended meetings to sort out any problems within the team or to come up with unique and innovative ideas to keep the centre and the department moving forwards. Show less

I was responsible for briefing guests in the High Ropes, Climb, and Zipline activities, getting them secured in the PPE that would keep them safe in the activity, and ensuring that their experience was entertaining and personal. As an instructor, I had to ensure that safety was a priority, and I underwent training so that this was always at the forefront of my mind. I was responsible for briefing guests in the High Ropes, Climb, and Zipline activities, getting them secured in the PPE that would keep them safe in the activity, and ensuring that their experience was entertaining and personal. The guest experience was paramount, and I achieved many named reviews for my interactions. I gained many interpersonal skills through this job and became much more confident.Because of this, I also volunteered to call up guests when bookings had to change due to adverse weather conditions, and come up with a solution that suited them and the centre. I was praised for my phone etiqueete, and remained calm when guests got frustrated. Another key responsibility was inspecting the PPE. After a voluntary training session, I was regularly given the task of ensuring the equipment was still safe for use, an incredibly important task in this fast paced environment. This had to be done monthly, which meant that time management was necessary to ensure that the hundreds of harnesses and slinglines were inspected.Finally, I volunteered for a first aid course to ensure that I could deal with any incidents that arose without the need for help from others.
