Twenty six years in business.I am a qualified chef and spent 10 years in the hospitality industry.I have experience in franchising and licensing having built a national franchise In the home service and maintenance industry over a 5 year period and then selling it on to a multinational.I have worked in the finance industry, mortgage broking, property development and IT industry.Over the past three years I have operated my own Firewood business, this business started off as a fundraising exercise for my sons school trip to France. It became apparent that there was an ongoing demand to a consistent, reliable supplier of firewood in the Manawatu. I have a good all round knowledge of every aspect of business, including the ability to plan and start a new enterprise. through to the ongoing management of a team of twenty.I have a good understanding of all legal and taxation compliance issues along with the ability to plan strategically from a financial and growth perspective. I have operated businesses as a sole trader, partnership and limited liability company with varying numbers of employees and contracted labour including owner operators.I know what it takes to motivate people and I lead from the front, inspiring and challenging people to do the very best that they can and provide an outstanding level of service in whatever they do.
