During my time at the Council, I have held a number of roles, these include PMO Leader, ACCELA Project Manager and ICT Programme Manager. In these roles, I have been able to cement my leadership skills by collaborating and influencing across Council lines of business to achieve results. During the implementation of the Council Accela operational software, I led a team of 16+ individuals consisting of permanent, fixed term, consultant and vendor employees. This stretched my leadership skills and provided a pressure cooker environment for personal growth. Councillors celebrated the success of this implementation within the $5millon budget and timeline. In addition to standard Project Management responsibilities, I had direct control for financial management and vendor liaison.Key Achievements: • Delivered a $5 million customisable off the shelf software implementation redesigning BOPRC operational business system including data and change management responsibilities. This collated over 40 applications into one while enabling business process redesign and data centralisation.• Created a consolidated ICT programme of work to allow resource planning and forward load planning.• Finalised contractual negotiation and achieved sign off for a $5 million funding contract for an economic development project within the Bay of Plenty. • Developed the system implementation framework and provided oversight for the development of the Council’s Nutrient Management Discharge System to support the Plan Change 10 implementation for Lake Rotorua.• Established a project reporting framework for Major Projects; this has been used with the leadership team to modify their major project list and enable engagement in Organisational Project capability discussions. • Guided and advised the senior leadership team on the direction and change approach to enhance the Project Management Capability within the organisation.

This role implemented technology business solutions for Vodafone clients. I led a significant acceleration of the standard implementation process to uplift performance and support a client’s requirement for accelerated growth. This work was highlighted as one of the success areas of the client’s relationship with Vodafone. This success was due to my ability to lead teams, build rapport with the customer and resolve issues through communication internally and externally.. Key Achievements:• Cloud security services for a major government agency. This grouped series of projects turned on over $1.5 million of annual revenue and over $400,000 of associated one-off revenue. • Lead an Infrastructure Programme of Work to deliver the roll-out of WAN, LAN and user moves to a newly integrated multi-site government agency spread across 50 sites with over 3000 new users to the network. This Programme of Work turned on over $2.4 million of annual revenue with $500,000 of one-off for WAN and LAN alone. • Rescued a Call Centre implementation for a 40-seat national call centre, including routing and call tracking solutions. Allowing the client to meet the original go live timelines within budget.Throughout my time with Vodafone I lead a diverse range of projects such as Wi-fi options assessments, Vodafone CTMS and RF gateway upgrades, 111 feed issue resolution and client contractual milestone completion/negotiation -Portal and ITSM integration.

In this role, I provided project management, analytical expertise and strategic analysis to the high priority initiatives within the Ministry, as deemed by the senior leadership team. The role varied from end to end project management of programmes through to helping directors and managers with strategic alignment and operational issues. Key Achievements:• Aquaculture legislative reforms implementation – identification of settlement gazettal space, developing teams and systems to plan, co-ordinate, facilitate, track and deliver the implementation across various departments within the Ministry for Primary Industries. Environmental Toxicologist
I was responsible for the scientific technical content of the reports, project management, stakeholder communications and risk management, as well as keeping up with legislative changes and methodology development.
