Passionate about design, analysis, and test of aerospace systems.♦ I was raised in an Air Force family and was continually surrounded by the sights and sounds of powerful aircraft. That foundational inspiration put me on a path to work in aerospace. Growing up in a military family also meant moving to various parts of the world, which developed a fascination with other cultures and languages. A pivotal tragic event in my teenage years radically transformed my own personal journey of faith. I view my professional work as a confluence of these core engineering interests and personal values. For nearly 20 years, I have had the privilege of working for major aerospace companies as an engineer. My most enjoyable projects were hands-on and involved the development of technologies from idea to flight test, whether on earth or outer space. My ideal role would build upon my past competencies, and leverage my recent interests. A few years ago, I took up private pilot training, and I’ve recently become an FAA-certified (Part 107) unmanned aerial systems pilot. I have taken courses in Flight Test Engineering at the National Test Pilot School. I’ve also become keenly interested in outdoor activities and desire to mitigate the effect of aviation on the environment.I believe aerospace is entering new eras of innovation, with advances in unmanned systems and sustainable technologies.
