Manager
Responsibilities include all aspects of daily manufacturing operations of the composite shop including scheduling, tool fabrication, cloth cutting, lamination and final assembly of complex composite structures and aerodynamic fairings, piece parts and tooling for the prime aerospace companies. Products produced have included experimental aircraft, open wheeled CART Champ Cars, funny cars, Formula Nippon Race, UAV’s and structures. These responsibilities also include but are not limited to budgeting, staffing, technical process development and documentation and interfacing with engineering and management.
Composites
Responsibilities included on hand fabrication of air and land base radomes, satellite antennas, dishes and reflectors. These responsibilities required a working knowledge of advanced material processing. Materials used included dry fiber and prepreg, carbon fiber (unidirectional and fabric), aramid, fiberglass, quartz and hybrids. Additional responsibilities included scheduling, budgeting, estimating, personnel projects, process specifications and all manufacturing phases of the team. Tooling/Prototype: Responsibilities included master plaster fabrication, high temperature composite tooling construction, and cost effective prototype and one off radomes, reflectors and aerodynamic fairings.
