As a Project Safety Intern with Ideal Contracting I worked at GM Factory Zero to maintain safety compliance within the site. I helped conduct safety orientations for new hire Ironworkers, inspected various equipment, and tools. I worked closely with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager to assist in their requests for onsite information. I learned so much from my Project Safety Manager mentor, Bryan Stephens. I learned a lot of safety compliance rules ranging from Fall Protection to Daily Safety paperwork. I also learned that building relationships on the construction site is the key to safety. Knowing peoples names and their interests creates a community that trust and respect can be built on. Thank you Ideal Contracting for the internship experience.
