PhD Candidate at Cooperstone Lab | LC-MS/MS| Metabolomics | MS/MS library | Compound ID | Molecular Networking | Phytochemicals | Data Science | Python | R | HPCI am a Ph.D. candidate and an experienced researcher with more than 3 years of experience in the precision detection and quantification of small molecules in biological and environmental matrices, as well as software development for mass spectrometry. My doctoral research focuses on applying multi-omics (metabolomics and genomics) for crop nutritional improvement. During my graduate program, I am currently acquiring and mastering invaluable experience with MS instrumentation such as Agilent LC-QTOF 6545/6546, Waters LC-TQD, Shimadzu GCxGC-MS. I have created and maintained mass spectrometry software for data analysis (RGCxGC) and automation of creating in-house MS/MS libraries (MS2extract). RGCxGC is an end-to-end toolbox for signal processing (alignment/smoothing) of high-dimensional MS data. MS2extract is a package to automate the creation of MS/MS libraries. I have created and shared a local library of natural products containing more than 300 reference MS/MS spectra with this package. My work has contributed to the publication of several peer review papers, and the creation of several tutorials for the introduction of data analysis in metabolomics.
