As an End User Sales Support Specialist, my primary responsibility was to provide administrative support to two of the End User Specialist team’s most senior members, with the shared goal of delivering exceptional end user solutions to Softcat’s customers.This involved understanding a customer’s requirement and analysing this to create quotes and proposals for logistically and technologically complex solutions. The solutions themselves comprised of Managed Print projects, End User device requirements involving various supply chain and analytics services, and VDI. Often these were presented with a financial services wrapper such as Fair Market Value leases to present solutions as a “per user per month” costing model. My role also involved management of my supported specialists’ renewals pipeline.I was also responsible for creating and maintaining a large proportion of the various sales tools the team use to prepare quotations for the solutions we provide. By extension, I was also heavily involved in the onboarding and training of new team members to utilise these tools, as well as other internal systems.

As a Managed Print and DaaS specialist, I helped customers design and deliver both print and end user device solutions based on the team’s core solution principles of “Assess > Control > Optimise”. The “Assess” stage would help customers understand what their current and future needs were based on several factors, including raw data from past usage, floor walks and audits, and surveys and interviews with key staff and departments – all properly analysed using a mix of specialised tools and consultation with the technical team.The “Control” stage would look at how overutilisation could be limited by clever use of software solutions and a policy-driven approach to enabling or disabling different aspects of the chosen solution, thereby minimising cost without sacrificing productivity.The “Optimise” stage was an ongoing process of feedback and review, allowing for tweaks to the solution to be made during contract to ensure the solution was delivering best value for money whilst meeting critical KPI’s.As part of this role, my responsibilities included:• Developing a consultative, customer-first approach to client relationships and solution design• Utilising data, analytics, and end user feedback to design tailored solutions• Negotiating with vendors to obtain best pricing and support, utilising various portals and managing vendor relationships to do so• Building a deep understanding of print and end user technology and associated solutions, plus keeping abreast of industry developments and new products and services• Pioneering the team’s internal tool set to make the process of pricing and designing solutions more logical and efficient• Training the team on using the above tools and other internal systems• Training the wider Softcat sales team on my team’s products and services• Reviewing client solutions during ongoing contracts to develop improvements and ensure critical KPI’s were met• Reporting on existing opportunities and pipeline

As Softcat's Education Mobility Specialist, I helped schools, colleges and universities understand the potential of tablet technology to enhance teaching and learning, as well as advising on what is involved and how to successfully deliver tablet projects.

Apple are an important strategic partner at Softcat, and as the Apple Product Specialist I maintained and developed our relationship with Apple. As well as keeping abreast of all of the latest updates from Cupertino, I acted as an important resource for our Account Management team, advising on products, processes, and partners who work with Apple.As part of this role I have helped Softcat to become an Apple Solutions Expert for Education (ASE), a prestigious accreditation which recognises both our investment in Apple technology, and in the education sector.

With the continued growth of the Public Sector team in Softcat's Marlow office, in December 2013 I was promoted to the position of Public Sector Account Development Manager. Working more closely with two senior members of the Public Sector team, I offered an increased level of support to our clients, including support on more complex projects.

As one of the first Sales Supports to work with the Public Sector team at Softcat's Marlow office, I helped to support the Public Sector team during its formative years. My role involved assisting Account Managers with providing an excellent quality of service to our customers. During this time I helped to streamline several internal processes, ensuring that our response times remained as prompt as possible.

As a Learning Support Assistant, I helped to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to meet the challenges of studying in a prestigious grammar school. My duties included providing one-to-one support to students with various learning challenges, including Asperger's Syndrome and visual disablement.
